Engineering Analysis

Our engineering design analysis team saves you the expense of fielding prototype systems in order to determine survivability. Computer codes can provide nearly the same results with a significant reduction in costs and schedule.

Ktech’s experienced team of analysts evaluate the response of materials, structures, and systems to a wide range of stimuli including radiation, explosives, impacts, blasts, static whole body response and thermal excitations. We are experts in the use of one, two and three dimensional finite difference and finite element hydrocodes such as NIKE, CTH, ALE3D and DYNA.

We've developed specialized material constitutive models and failure criteria for these computer programs that simulate the dynamic response of materials and structures to energetic stimuli.  The failure criteria include stress dependent yield envelopes and tensile failures (spall, rupture, debond, and delamination).

Ktech has extensive thermal modeling experience including use of 1, 2, and 3D conduction codes (TOPAZ and TFT), inverse heat conduction codes (IHCPID and SODDIT), finite difference thermal analysis code (CINDA) and a thermal parameter estimation code (PROP10).
