The Beginning
Dr. Keller initially established Raytheon Ktech in Santa Barbara, California. The heart of the company moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico within two years when Raytheon Ktech was awarded a contract with the Air Force to perform scientific research and operate the Material Response Impact Facility for the Air Force Weapons Laboratory (now the Air Force Research Laboratory).
