Comprehensive Benefits Program


Ktech’s benefits program for full-time employees is comparable to those of much larger firms. Eligibility for some benefits begin on the date of employment. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:

Personal Time Off (PTO)

PTO provides paid time off for vacation, personal business and short-term illness. Accrual rates are based on hours worked. This benefit is available to full- and part-time employees.

Health Insurance

Ktech offers employees working 20 or more hours per week on a regular basis a comprehensive health plan. It includes an HMO and a PPO for its Albuquerque and surrounding area employees and their dependents, and a PPO/multiplan with a nationwide network for its out-of-state employees. Prescription benefits are part of the medical plan. Ktech pays for a majority of the premium based on your annual salary.

Dental Insurance

We offer a generous dental plan with varying levels and cost of coverage, allowing you to select the option that is right for you. Ktech will pay the complete premium for its basic plan for the employee and their eligible dependents, and employees can “buy-up” for a more comprehensive plan.

Vision Insurance

Ktech employees may purchase vision insurance for themselves and their families. Combining our vision plan with the dental plan provides you maximum benefit.

Life Insurance/AD&D Insurance

Term Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance coverage at up to 2.5 times an employee’s annual salary is provided at no cost to the employee. We also provide term life insurance for family members at no cost to the employee. You can purchase optional additional coverage at varying levels.

Disability Insurance

Our disability plans provide you with income replacement should you be unable to work due to disability. We provide short-term and long-term disability at no cost to the employee.

Reimbursement Spending Accounts

Ktech provides Dependent Care Assistance and Health Care Reimbursement, allowing you to pay certain health care and dependent care expenses using pre-tax dollars.

Section 125 Plan

Ktech offers a plan allowing you to pay premiums for medical, dental, vision, and reimbursement spending accounts with pre-tax dollars.

Employee Retirement Savings Account (401K)

Employees may participate in Ktech’s generous 401(K) plan, and are eligible for Ktech matching funds upon their date of employment.  The company match increases with every five years of service.

Incentives

We reward you for published papers and special recognition awards with cash incentives.

Education Reimbursement

Ktech believes in the power of education. To encourage employees to achieve and exceed their career goals, we offer a generous tuition, books, and lab fee reimbursement plan for courses applicable to the employee's position.
