Design Team Our dedicated staff is committed to the task of providing perfect design, hardware and documentation for the Sandia Laboratories Z Machine Experimental Program in support of Sandia's march toward aboveground laboratory fusion and we spare no effort in pursuit of this goal.

We have an excellent track record in the five years that the Z Machine has been in existence, designing, fabricating and fielding almost 1000 extremely complex experiments and accelerator shots with an astounding 100 percent success.

Shot Assembly Team Our shot assembly laboratory technicians are well trained, diligent and obsessively detail-oriented, qualities that are absolutely essential in scientific shot building. Our job is to build, align, measure, verify and document the Z Machine Accelerator shot hardware assemblies to the most rigorous and exacting scientific specifications at the rate of a shot a day.

Our hardware is mechanically precise, very high tolerance, and ultra clean. It undergoes extensive 5-step mechanical cleaning, electropolishing, hydrogen and vacuum firing cleaning processes before being gold-plated in critical powerflow regions... and then vaporized in the dynamic high temperature center of the Z Machine. Our attention to detail in scientific assembly and installation has been directly responsible for one world record after another in x-ray power, high temperature, and impeccable data sets.

We have performed this task to perfection almost 1000 times in the last five years.
