Computer Aided Engineering (CAE)

Applications Support

Ktech provides application engineering and support for mechanical 2-D and 3-D design, raster edit, electrical Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software, and interfacing to standard Product Data Management (PDM) applications.

We also have experience in meshing and analysis of mechanical 3-D models and assemblies and state-of-the-art finite element codes.

Application Support Tasks are focused on the enhancement of the use of existing commercial software packages such Pro/Engineer, MicroStation, SolidWorks, and VeriBest's Tool Suite. The tasks include the development of programs, processes, and practices that support and extend the use of the product.

Activities include version verification, user training, installation, trouble shooting, use of application program interfaces, and the development of work processes supporting the use of the tool.

These applications run on Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, and UNIX operating systems.

Mechanical Design Application Tools

Ktech currently supports Pro/Engineering and many of its modules as well as MicroStation and SolidWorks design software. This support covers installation, software maintenance and upgrades, geometry creation and modification, customization and standardization of formats, development of model templates and configuration files, and library development.

Electrical Design Application Tools

Ktech provides CAE applications support using Mentor Graphics Expedition Series software. This support includes Schematic Capture, Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design, Chip on Board and Hybrid Design, Analog simulation, and Digital VHDL Simulation.

2-D and 3-D Modeling and Analysis

Ktech engineers support modeling and development of meshes using Pro/Mechanics for analyzing mechanical systems. They also support a number of finite element analysis (FEA) and finite difference modeling (FDM) codes such as COSMOS, PATRAN, CUBIC, CFD, ANSYS, and others for performing structural, thermal, and fluid modeling and analysis. 3D Image
